History of the Historical Society
Representing
the West-End
of the
San Bernardino Mountains from Crestline
to
Running
Springs

Founded in 1986, the Historical Society was conceived as part of an "election platform" in Crestline's annual race for Honorary Mayor. Originally known as the Crest Forest Historical Society, the group soon found itself representing all west-end mountain communities from Snow Valley to Cedarpines Park.

In 1997, the name was changed to the Rim of the World Historical Society. The Historical Society serves as a resource for all those interested in the history of the San Bernardino Mountains. School programs and lecture series are available free to the public.
