Began in 1892 by the Arrowhead Mountain Club - and James Mooney. James Mooney was a principle financier behind the Arrowhead Reservoir Company - responsible for the dam at Little Bear Lake (Lake Arrowhead). |

Picture Frame Tree
Located in Thousand Pines, this was the 'framing' for many a photo that was taken in our mountains. Thousand Pines was originally developed by Charles Brashear in 1913. Now a Baptist camp. |

Interior of the Pacific Electric
Vacation Home
Located in Agua Fria (cold water), a small community on Highway 189 before entering Blue Jay. The remains of this fireplace are still visible today. Once a vacation resort for employees of the Pacific Electric company - dating back to 1917. |

Switzer's and the post office
The store, built in 1915 by John Griffin, was originally known as the Tip Top Grocery Store. Bert and Sara Switzer bought it in 1919 and operated it into the 1940's. The 'Year-O-Round Store' was built be Greg Dexter in 1920. |

The Antlers Inn
The Inn was built by the Dexter's in the very early 1920's. Originally a large dance pavilion and dining area with small cabins for guests. The area was originally known as Strawberry Flat, but today know as Twin Peaks. The Antlers Inn remains a very fine restaurant, and the cabins are still available to guests. |
